Spravato for Treatment-Resistant Depression

Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved prescription nasal spray for adults with treatment-resistant depression. Unlike traditional antidepressants, Spravato targets the brain's glutamate system rather than serotonin or norepinephrine. This distinct mechanism allows it to work faster and reach patients who have not responded to other medications.

Why Spravato

Research-Backed

Studied in adults with treatment-resistant depression and adults with major depressive disorder with suicidal ideation or behavior.

Faster Symptom Relief

Greater reduction of depressive symptoms in 4 weeks compared to those who received a placebo and oral antidepressant.†

Lasting Results

In clinical trials, after 16 weeks of therapy, patients who stayed on Spravato plus their oral antidepressant were less likely to experience a return of depressive symptoms compared to those who stopped therapy.‡
†In clinical trials of adults who took Spravato and an oral antidepressant compared to those who received a placebo and an oral antidepressant. Based on an overall score on a standardized rating scale.
‡Along with an oral antidepressant.
